SMP Chose NCSIMUL because it gets the job done

SMP designs and manufactures all its own products:

  • 1 and 2-Axis CNC tables
  • 5-Axis NC tool and cutter grinders
  • Floating chucks (reamer holders)
«Our Numaffut+ software is an ongoing development project, and we regularly develop a range of other in-house programs. Because NCSIMUL is able to directly decode the ISO program, we can use it to immediately simulate these new programs.»

Why ZF Group chose NCSIMUL over the competition

The ZF Group (SPRING Technologies Customer), one of the first fifteen global automotive suppliers, known for its components for power transmissions, has decided to unify its tools of machining simulation by choosing NCSIMUL from SPRING Technologies.

Their criteria for choosing NCSIMUL over the competition:

- The homogenization of machining simulation solutions ;
- The integration of this new solution in the existing Information Systems (various different according to the country: SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- The ease of use and learning of the software by all operators in different production sites, all equipped with NC machines from 5 to 7 axes;
- The interconnection with the various CAM solutions used by the production plants;
- The ability to use 3D objects and integrate them into the simulation, as well as geometry, tools, attachments, workpieces, etc.. ;
- The opportunity to work with different NC machines and controllers;
- The importance of simulating the process of actual operation of the NC machine tool in ISO code;
- The interconnection between the solution and the CNC programming simulation systems already in place.

Messier-Dowty minimized risk to zero for scrapped parts and machine collision

Customer Success Story

Messier-Bugatti-Dowty (a Safran group company), is the world leader in the design, development, manufacture and support of aircraft landing gear systems.

They chose NCSIMUL to check and validate all the ISO coded programs prior to using CNC machines.

NCSIMUL software mimics precisely every cutter movement so they were able to correct any programming errors or collisions before machining the actual parts. The biggest advantage using NCSIMUL is that they saved a lot of machine prove-out time, and the machines are kept busy on production work. They have also reduced the amount of programming errors, and minimized risk to zero for scrapped part and machine collision.
